A weight-loss sub-thread of The Long Green Ribbon Thread.
Thanks Wabo. Bit chillier finish than last year.
I looked at my splits and the first 3 were sub 10 min miling, then mile 4 was 11:04, with all the following miles being sub 11, and my final mile was 10:15. With all the walkie bits I must have been running faster when I wasn't walking. So, much more consistent than the previous few major runs. Not so bad then
You did pretty well there then RLTW! Stats are great aren't they?
Morning birkmyre and wabo - how are you both today?
its a nice run isnt it rltw?
vixx I am dont know why!
SAD kicking in with the clocks going back Wabo?
I have just put a deposit down on a new (to me) car. My company car goes back when the office closes for good at the end of November. Reality starting to kick in now. I am with you on the Wabo.
Awwww - sorry to hear that DD
Been commuting 37 miles there and 37 miles back every week day for ten years and to be honest was getting fed up of the travelling.
Will miss the people in my office though.
Have you seen anything else yet DD? What sort of thing are you looking for?
That's fair enough DD - best to have a break and go back into something nicely refreshed.
3M easy for me, suddenly got a cold and feel kinda lethargic.
DD: Sorry to hrar that.
not really vixx, sad about family stuff really, and some tw*t at work upset me yesterday
weigh day, 10st 8.7, exactly the same.
dd sorry to hear that.
birkmyre hope the cold doesnt get too bad.
Sorry to hear that Wabo *hugs*
birkmyre - take it easy if you have a cold coming.
Vix: Cheers did a 4M fartlek today. My faster stuff wasn't lung bursting though. Col d still there, but hopefully not get any worse.
Wabo: Take it easy.
Booked tickets for Glasgow Indoor Athletics in January13 yesterday.
Hope you are feeling a bit brighter today Wabo.
I have been looking at the daytime classes at my gym for when I finish work. Think I will take my time off as an opportunity to go on a fitness drive.
feeling a bit better today thanks guys
dd, sounds like agood idea, put the time to good use eh
Cold seems to have lifted.
wabo: Glad you're feeling better.
Glad you are feeling better birkmyre
Wabo - glad you are feeling better - and glad you stayyed the same rather than gained!
DD - that sounds like a good plan! Maybe enter a marathon or something to keep you focussed
I am down to 14st 8lb. Have done another bodystat this morning as I see the surgeon in 10 days for my consultation.
Although I have lost 8lb now, my body fat has gone up slightly in a percentage sense, but the amount of fat I have is slightly less (coz there is less of me), but I have lost about 5lb of muscle
My hydration is much better than it was, and my BMI (which surgeons still use) is now at 32, which is the borderline that is stated on the Charing Cross website.
Have a good day
Vixx - so over-all it sounds like you are getting somewhere Well done
I'm gonna be attempting sub 30min 5k tomorrow at parkrun.
Wabo, Birrkmyre - glad you both seem to be feeling better.
DD - I like the positive thinking
