Morning all

Vixx - Try to think that it's only a bump in the road and that things are still moving forward, just not to the right timescale. It sounds like the surgeon really knows her stuff and is making sure that you are sorted properly first time round. It's still a bit of progress as you will now be moved to the correct therapy and start to get the results you want quickly, plus it will give you the time to get the weight to the levels you want.

DD - I think I may start the weigh in's on Friday mornings again too, although it hasn't changed for quite a while now, I hope that I can finally start sheading some weight.

My friend called me last night and he has his mini gym set up, so Friday night, we're hitting the weights.

Hi folks, hope all well.

Vixx, I don't know the full story obviously but hopefully you are feeling less down today . It must be incredibly frustrating not to get things moving along as quickly as you were hoping.

Lfc, I used to have a mini gym in my house it was really handy, but when I moved I didn't have a suitable room for one, or rather I did but decided to have a guest bedroom instead! I have some weights but never get round to using them

Just back from my first game of 5-a-side since August, was very apprehensive and didn't feel like I could trust the hamstring at all but got a bit more confident as the game went on and escaped unscatched.

I am less down today thank you. I am more of the mindset that I'm going to start getting prepared for the future - although that was after sending out a 'questioning' e-mail to my nurse specialist. When I say 'questioning' the implication is that more could have been done to avoid this situation....

I am sure I will be stiff tomorrow but as long as there is no reaction with the hamstring I will put up with it with a smile!  Arranged a 7-8 mile run for a Saturday morning with a mate as well so hopefully I can start to get my fitness back to where it was before I got crocked.

I hope you get the answers to your e-mail that you are looking for. Though presumably if they are at fault they will be cautious in their response!

Well, if they are they will get both barrels when I go down to London in December as I see the guy I call #1 Doc (I have 2 there) and he's shit hot on issues - he's already told me I have grounds for complaint.

However, I only want to complain when it can be productive and beneficial to others (it won't benefit me much) as delays like I am experiencing could cause people to be driven to the edge. I am mentally strong. I will get to where I need to be in the end, however long it takes. Others may not.

MTV - Nice one with the 5 a side, how did you feel yesterday?

Vixx - Sounds like the nurse specialist needs a good kick up the bum to get her out of her comfort zone and looking at what she is doing. Sounds like you have  some good surgeons there anyway and everything will go to plan before you know it.

You've been consistantly losing so you know it's just a blip and you will lose it again in no time.

Nothing much planned this weekend, probably have more of the fun that is Christmas shopping.

There's a sci-fi convention on in Mancs on Sunday which I think we are going to, other than that, training probably.

I haven't eaten out of place this week, but I have had a week off exercise.

My Christmas shopping is done and mostly wrapped. Just got cards to write.

Morning all - weigh in for me as well today.  I am approx a stone heavier than this time last year.

I finish work this time next week so will be a lady of leisure up until Christmas.  I have planned which daytime classes I am going to do at the gym and am going to get back into the running again.

Hockey tomorrow in Runcorn and will probably tidy up the garden if the weather is nice.

Vixx - I had a run last night, 4.61 miles, nice and steady, just a few twinges in my knee. Sci-fi convention? I may have to have a look at that.

Vixx- not planning to do that this year. Although it was hilarious last year with all the mud and the rain.  I have got out of the running since I did my mcl which is still a bit sore and stiff after exercise.

I am going to get back into the running when I finish work and probably look to do a run next year.

Hi folks,
Lfc, I felt sore yesterday but not specifically in the hamstring area, just general stiffness and my ankles felt a bit sore, probably just cause I haven't played for a few weeks.

I am no great shakes to be honest, I play weekly 5-a-side but with mates, not in a league. I enjoy so would like to carry on playing IF I can avoid injury.

Very quiet on this thread last couple of days!

Just done my weigh-in and have lost 2.8 lbs this week and 1cm off my waist (not done all the other measurements) but very happy with that! Does make me wonder if last weeks bad result might have been due to the effects of the previous evenings alchohol?
