Happy New Year everyone

Happy New Year DD! What are you up to?

01/01/2013 at 17:53

Happy new year (and a belated Merry Christmas) to all from me.

Couldn't get myself focused in the second half of December with all the Christmas socialising but ready to make a serious effort to get some weight off this year.

Have just weighed in at 14 stone 10lb (waist 110cm) which is slightly worse than I was expecting.

Well done to all the folks on here who have managed to avoid piling it on over Xmas!

Happy New Year MTViking - how are you?

As far as I know the worst I have done is 1lb on. Proper weigh in and BodyStat test tomorrow I think.

What are your goals for 2013?

01/01/2013 at 18:00

OK, to lose at least a stone and a half, possibly more like two which is not going to be easy but if I don't start doing something about it ASAP it is only going to get worse.

Going to start doing Parkrun at least once a month to gauge the improvement in my fitness and would like to do the Great North Run again in September in a quicker time than my only previous half marathon last year.

1lb on is pretty outstanding over Xmas, well done Vixx!

Thanks MTViking - I did train pretty hard between my birthday up to New Year's Eve, then I woke up this morning and realised no washing had been done for a couple of days and I have no training gear clean! :S

Did weights in front of the West Brom v Fulham match to make up for lack of Cardio.... (to be fair my weight gain may well be muscle as I have started new medication now).

01/01/2013 at 18:40

I didn't run today either but that is largely due to being hungover!

01/01/2013 at 18:53

LOL - carb-loading then

Happy new year everyone.

Happy New Year lfc - hope you had a good time

Family sick for most of it Vixx. How was yours?

Quiet - trained during most of it

02/01/2013 at 22:38

hi all, happy new year!

Also had a lurgy over the last week, well a head cold.  Kicked it to touch with a 7 mile run tonight. Hopefully!

vixx nice one on only 1lb! Me I put on 2.6lbs, not too upset.  Think most of that was while I felt ill and unable to run. Able to eat chocolates, you get the picture.

8 days till I go see my peruvian peeps, cannot believe it!

02/01/2013 at 22:41

You will have a great time wabo I've been training hard over Christmas to take advantage of starting my new hormone therapy, so the 1lb might even be muscle - i don't know yet as I didn't get to do my BodyStat today

Just been watching the football - good results for the Liverpudlian teams, and super result for QPR!

04/01/2013 at 09:48

Morning, just about over this lurgy.

Haven't run a  step since Christmas Eve. Possibly today or more likley tomorrow the comeback starts.

04/01/2013 at 18:59

Glad that you are better birkmyre - don't overdo it when you get back out there!

Honesty time - who put weight over Christmas/New Year?

05/01/2013 at 12:23

Hi folks, just did my first proper run for nearly 6 weeks (injuries + xmas!). Park run in 24.36. Not my quickest but under the cirumstances I will take it.
