Just had a Weight Watchers chicken curry for dinner, nice, but I could have done with a bit more. Time to see how good my willpower is.

I'm working hard on weight loss again - I have to have another weigh in for the surgeon in 2 weeks, which makes me think it's more about the weight than she said it is.

Hi folks, not been on here much lately as my running has been curbed by the snow.

Well done on the 2lb loss Birkmyre. My latest weigh in has me at 14stone 3 and 107cm round the waist which I make 7lb and 3cm since the start of the year.

lfc: We've had virtually no snow here, it just seems to have been snowing when I'm walking the dog at about 6am these last 3 mornings.

Vixx - Good luck with the weight loss. That's got to be harder right now with the new meds.

Birkmyre - The main problem we've got here is the patchy ice. I still can't go running yet as I've nearly gone over a few times just walking lately and that's without having a drink.

Thanks lfc - it's not easy. The main problem is that I don't know which calorie 'entitlement' I am meant to go with now.  I am sticking at 2000 calories for now, and yesterday burnt off over 1000 and had 1700 calories food intake. I've had a rumbling stomach for 3 days now. Am drinking plenty of green tea and/or peppermint tea too to help digestion, as well as water.

Am thinking of taking up climbing too as a way of strengthening my upper body.

Morning everyone

Vixx - I used to climb and abseil years ago and loved it. I wish I had kept it up but, as per normal, to many other things got in the way. I found that my forearms got tired really quickly at first as I kept holding onto my grip too hard until I learned to relax with it and I wouldn't fall if I released my death grip on everything. Enjoy. Are you thinking of starting indoor?

morning all!

I am back and a bit bigger, chilled and slightly sad, but iverall very happy!

I put o n 4lbs, which considering I hardky managed to run was not too bad, so weigh in is 10st 6lb, backto it now

Hope you are all well, will try catch up as I go along.

Well as you can all imagine not a lot of running actually did happen in Peru, there was 4 miles in Lima along the coastline, 1.5 miles on a beach in shoes, to the right was no go area and to the left the tide was in! Finally a 2 mile barefoot on the beach which left my achilles somewhat sore, and a policeman stopped me at the no go point (I knew about it and was turing anyway) pointed to Garmin told me peligroso (dangerous) and promptly turned me round anyway! I saw vultures pelicans, huge gulls, all manner of dead things on the beach and tried goat, ate cerviche, chucharron and Bonito - the last I did not like!

lfc - yes, there's a place in Warrington called the North West Face (right by the Warrington Wolves stadium) which does a 4hr climbing tutorial sesson (2 x 2hr) for £60 per person. I was thinking of starting with that.

Afternoon all.  Welcome back Wabo - once you get back into the running you will lose those 4lb in no time.  Glad you had a lovely time.

Just been for a lovely walk in the snow around Delamere forest followed by lunch at a local pub.  Making the most of the fresh snow whilst it lasts. Pictures on FB.
