Vixx - I can't believe the the Lightning Run has come round so fast.
The job I'm doing is for Halloween. Explains why I'm so mixed up all the time.
Wow, some fantastic weight loss AND running results for everyone there - well done Wabo and Vixx, hope the knee's feeling better lfc, and congrats on new job DD, how's it going?I've put a pound back on this week, but still magically under the 12 stone barrier so still very happy - after losing so much last week I'm due a few weeks of maintaining I think!Half Marathon is this sunday, but coming off my hurty knee, upset stomach a couple of weeks ago and this week a cold, i'm not expecting to break the sound barrier - but I will get around and as it's my first it's a guaranteed PB! Really looking forward to a few days rest afterwards too!
Nicky - Good luck with the half. Is it the Liverpool one?
No, Warwick Castle, it seems to have come around very quickly!
Isn't it amazing how when you book a race it seems to be ages away......
lfc - Lightning Run has come around quickly, and then after that it'll be London....
May is a quiet month for me.
Hello all. The job is going ok so far thanks - the hours are 3pm til 10.45pm Mon to Fri which is different than what I was used to but I am loving having most of the day free to go out running, go to the gym etc etc.
Good luck in your half marathon Nicky.
Well done on the weight losses everyone.
wow dd that is different but sounds like you are using the day well!
Wow! Good going DD!
I am now bang on 200lbs!
Excellent work Fuzzyvixx! You're about where I started this weight loss episode in August (meanwhile I'm about where my wife started, she's lost nearly two and a half stone too!).
This cold is not shifting, haven't managed to get out for a run at all this week as I'm trying to give myself every chance of shaking it off..... fingers crossed it's gone by tomorrow morning so I can do a little jog and remind myself how legs work before sunday! Will be gutted if no improvement by sunday as I don't think I'll do it with the cold in place!
Thanks Nicky - nearly a stone gone for me. Well done to you and your wife too!
The best thing you can do is up your Vitamin C intake, drink plenty of water and eat well - avoiding dairy to make sure your chest doesn't get mucus developing :S
I also have a LOT of hot spicy food to sweat it all out too.
nice one vixx
Thanks Wabo Ready for your 20?
Half - Done.2 hours 2 minutes 45 seconds, ran it with the cold still coughing up lumps but better than it had been. I'm really pleased but absolutely exhausted as you'd expect. Some stomach cramps this afternoon/evening but only post-race so got most of my eating and drinking timed right and decent volume. Reckon without the cold the hydration would have been enough to avoid most of the stomach issues. I made chicken soup for saturday and took lots of Lemsip which helped.
Time for some time off to let the cold run its course now!Hope everyone else had a really good weekend!
Back to basics for me
Weigh in never lies !
Right here we go again
WELL DONE Nicky! That's a great effort - hope you are feeling better today!
