A weight-loss sub-thread of The Long Green Ribbon Thread.
Well done Wabo.
Sounds like MissB is enjoying her athletics.
I've been a bit busy over the weekend. Saturday Miss LFC's new wardrobe arrived so I tool apart the old one and built the new one. Sunday I finished off her room, mounting the TV on the wall and such, cut the grass and painted the fence in the front garden. Monday I painted and decorated the hall, stairs and landing. Last night, we had speed sessions at the club. If I haven't lost something after all that , I will be very disappointed.
Fingers crossed for you lfc!
I went to weigh myself last night and the scales just flashed up they need a battery. I've worn them out.
I've been trying some to the different tea's such as lemon and ginger. They smell nice but never seem to have much flavour. Am I the only one that thinks this? Am I doing it wrong?
Morning: Sunny with blue skie sup here today, so far
lfc: Yeah Miss B is enjoying her athletics.
lfc I always leave the bag in with those sort of teas
lfc - the only flavoured teas (or any tea for that matter) that I drink are the Teapigs ones. They aren't cheap and I am a tightwad and get 3 mugs out of each bag - and can still taste good flavour from them. I have the peppermint, and the marrakesh mint/green tea ones but I have tried others.
Happy Friday everyone
Not much of a tea drinker, Prefer coffee.
Me too birkmyre! I usually have the peppermint tea or mint tea when I am coffee'd out!
What are ou up to this weekend?
Hello all - just popping in for a catch up. Off to help set up for the Chester Half in a bit and am up early tomorrow to marshal.
Enjoy your weekends everyone.
Vixx: I've watched Villa v Chelsea already then watching the FA Cup Final. Think City by 2 clear goals so going for 3-1. (That's means it'll be 4-3 to Wigan knowing what my predictions are like ! )
Have fun tomorrow DD! How is everything going?
birkmyre - I am just sitting here watching the build up
I reckon 1-1 in 90 mins.
Vixx: Yup got that prediction wrong. So much 3-1 City. Well done to Wigan, I thought they were brilliant.
It was a brilliant game I thought. I really wanted Wigan to win
What are you up to today?
Good to see all the familiar names are popping up still.
I was amazed last week when I weighed myself (at the end of the day which is always worse) and came up at 9 stone. I don't understand how I can't have put on a shed load when I've done no running since November, and very little else, and eaten everything I fancy. Still, it's good. Just need to tone up the midrift, as always. First run/race of the year today. Feels ok, so far . . .
Goes off to to check the batteries . . . . .
Welcome back RLTW
You must have been doing other stuff to burn off the calories
I could be sleeping very restlessly Vixx
You never know RLTW
Hi everyone. RLTW glad to see you back in the mix.
I am great thanks Vixx - really busy at work but enjoying it. Loving having the mornings free.
I had a great time helping out at the half marathon yesterday. It was good to see the event from the other side for once. It takes such a lot of organisation and the people who run it are amazing. Have a look at the runners world reports - Chester HM and M are definitely two of the best races around.
I am considering Chester this year
DD - my sister was at the Chester Half yesterday as part of the St. John's. She said it was a very good day and she would love to take part one day. I can't see it though as she doesn't like exercise.
Vixx - thanks for the link for the tea. I'm normally a coffee drinker, but I'm looking for alternatives to help with hydration as I have been getting board with the water. I've bought some lemons this weekend so I'm going to chop some up into a jug of water and see if that helps.
