A weight-loss sub-thread of The Long Green Ribbon Thread.
Wow! That's quick! My mom just had ours converted into a wet room for her disabilities and it's taken them over three weeks :S
Hope you have a good day birkmyre
Pizza for lunch with friends today - had a thin-crust with very little cheese so hopefully not too bad (loads of olives though), went for a 7k run after work to make up for it.
Good effort on the running don_gato. Thin crust is always best if you are looking to lose weight
weigh in 9st 13lb, not surprised after cycling home and then going running club!
Hope everyone is good
Hey all! Another pound on again, quite pleased really as I've been eating so much fat and protein as I've bought nuts and scratchings to snack on at work instead but ended up eating loads of it!
I seem to have upped my eating at the moment but my miles are trending up towards 20 a week again at long last, and the weight is staying under control. All in all that's good!
14st7 so half a stone off in the past few weeks, still room to take plenty more off though and no sign of the inches coming off the waistline yet which is my main aim.
Well done Wabo and don_gato!
My weigh in will be tomorrow
Well done Nicky for NOT putting on too much with the nuts and scratchings (that could sound quite weird!)
Is anyone training for anything?
Not specifically training for anything at moment. Just enjoying getting out, mostly off road at t e moment.
Hey vixx!Still got my eye on the Birmingham half in October and building up for that, looking for a 10k to do sometime soon but the ones I was going to do have become inconvenient for one reason of another - life getting in the way again!
birkmyre - you got any pics of your off-road runs?
Nicky - train with hills for Birmingham - the more you do, the easier the day will be
I'm not doing Birmingham this year - am off to Amsterdam
soon to start training for Snowdonia, will kick start with the North Downs 30k on Sunday!
Vixx: Nah I've just got a basic phone, no camera on it !
Wabo: All the best for Sunday.
thanks peeps, will let you all know how it goes
Fair enough birkmyre - is it scenic off-road for you?
You'll be fine wabo
Vixx: It's okay, overlooks Glasgow airport and you do get a good view of the surrounding area.
That sounds good birkmyre. I hear that there is interest in a Glasgow Marathon. Any news on that?
Mornng Vixx: Heard rumours re a Glasgow Marathon, nothing official yet.
Hope that they do - it would be great!
Have lost 1lb
