Tulips, trams, bikes and canals

Did this marathon in 2010 and what a beauty! Flat, fast, well organised and a lovely City to boot.

Contemplating a trip out there in October. Good running and good social afterwards.

Any takers?

There is also a Half on the same day, the marathon starts in the morning and the HM in the afternoon as I remember. And both races finish in the Olympic Stadium. Great atmosphere.

Are you inviting me to go for weekend in Amsterdam with you, Brian?   

I did it in 2008, like you say excellent race, can't fault it. And for me in East Anglia closer and easier to get to than anywhere the other side of London! I shall definitely do it again one day!

Only problem with me and Amsterjam(being a bit dateless!) nearly getting run over by either the tram or the cycles.....

Lardarse, the flights are so cheap too. Think I went Jet2 last time but KLM are good value also i notice. I also like the dutch people, much the same mentality as the English. Apart from the obviously more liberated approach to "recreation".

I've done the Amsterdam half a couple of times - it is a good race.

Mmmmm, quite a few signing up for the new Yorkshire Marathon. I'm sure it will be flat and fast. Hoping to make it my back-up.

Just entered Amsterdam marathon. The only one I will be doing this year so its PB or bust
