What have you got me bottom of the hill shadow muppet?

I'm going even though I'm not running Sunday.  It's my day off and only costs me about £6.00 to get there. Good fun.

You can't get in unless you have a registration form. They nearly stopped my mum getting in who was just coming along with me! Don't waste the trip!

Happy birthday devoted2distance Good luck for your upcoming marathons x

onlysevenmoremilestogo - Surely not? I thought anyone could attend Expos... plus it says nowhere on the Expo site about it.. I'm not going now anyway, will leave it 'til next year.

Thanks for the birthday wishes - although it's nearly all over now!!

Yeah, that's what I thought! Security at the door checking forms even before go through to the main bit where you pick up your number! Strange! It wouldn't really be worth the trip though - I picked up some last minute things though and it's good that it's all in one place. Roll on Sunday, 3rd marathon for me but really want to improve on my time by quite some margin! I'm 25 next February! Birthdays are the best, hope you got spoilt (anyone get you the new touchscreen Garmin?!) I wanted to check it out today at the exhibition bit didn't get the chance to in the end!

So did I, surely the only bit you can't go in is the actual registration. the rest of the expo is for everyone, unless they've changed it this year. I've been many times with clubmates whilst not running London myself.

They were checking before you got through to the registration point. Just as you get off the train station and into the front doors.
14/04/2011 at 20:19
they were protesters outside today so maybe they were just checking for security reasons...
14/04/2011 at 20:19
They certainly were'nt stopping anyone going in yesterday, the expo has always been free for everyone to go in.

The expo is open to everyone.

onlysevenmoremiles - I was 25 yesterday. 6th mara next month then 7th in October. VLM next year will be 8th! Will be pleased getting 10 maras under my belt by the time I'm 30

No Garmin for me - not keen on them. I've got a Nike+ Sportband and it is so precise, I wouldn't want anything else.

May check out that new Nike GPS watch but not overly fussed seeing as I have no problems with the Sportband and it's a fraction of the price.

Tempted to go watch VLM now though since my local club would let me in on their bus (I'm not a member but know a lot of the team well) but got a 16/18m planned so should really get my own Mara schedule up to speed!

Fair enough! Maybe I'll aim for 10 by 30 as well, also an excuse to travel the world a bit too Watch the marathon on tele, then go for your run later
