Gina Bellman, Blackeyes!

 etc...

Good call! Remember that, though the edge was taken off any (cough) excitement by the fact that I was hallucinating big time having been struck down with the big flu epidemic we had that winter.

STOP IT!!! I'm gonna lose my job if someone is monitoring my internet usage today!!

I'd have donated my medal, as all my friends keep pointing out how much it looks like a Jim'll Fix It badge.

Joanne Whalley (-Kilmer), The Singing Detective.  That Dennis Potter had good taste!

If Flashheart was real he'd actually be quite sexy - especially the Blackadder Goes Forth version...

Although Rik Mayall couldn't be less sexy if he tried - odd that

Now on cewrtain occassions i find rik mayall and rowan atkinson sexy.not as sexy as Hugh laurie in his earlier days though

Loving the Imogen Stubbs and Gina Bellman references! Thanks for posting the Dean Godwyn article Screamy, I'm sorry but I find that sort of thing inspiring. I can see DF3 rolling his eyes at this. DF3 when is your first marathon btw?

I was gonna complete the Dennis Potter set with Keeley Hawes (Lickstip on Your Collar) but it turns out she's actually younger than me.  Suggesting that someone still in their thirties is "wearing well" is probably a bit offensive, I'm guessing!  Anyway, she's mint.

Ha ha, don't be sorry Zaftig

Oh and - Jason Isaacs, delish, in fact he gets better with age

DF3, I think we are all on about Silver Foxes.

How's the knee?

Fast-moving environment the Forum David - you snooze you lose

I like 'em young, not a silver fox fan alas. Jason Isaacs isn't bad though.

Good luck DF3, looking forward to the marathon post mortem.

(Disclaimer: By post mortem I mean general idle discussion not the real thing of course)

Well, I still think paying a sports masseur 40 quid to fix me so I can run a few days later is preferable to waiting several weeks for it to get better and not being able to train...

But then again, I'm the sort of lightweight who would pull out of the marathon altogether if I hadn't trained, and you wouldn't be the DF3 we know and, er... well, know if you did that. So good luck to you.

How did you do DF3? Did you walk?

05/05/2013 at 21:35

you can''t say that as you have never walked a marathon david..don't undersetimate what you have never done...............I think you have been guilty of that in the past

Well done df3 you part of the marathon family.

DF3 by now the next day you'll be in pain I think you were when I passed you at around 14 mile, by thursday unless you do a short recovery run it will be agony, but you're a finisher and by next week you'll have a Marathon PB that will be relatively easy to beat sat in front of you, my guess is another Marathon in the autumn with more training will be on the cards by next Sunday, it's addicitve
