What can I mix with water for a good energy drink?

I tend to use ISOSTAR, but you may have meant, what non 'energy drink' can I make. A mate reckons flat coke and water mixed up, but Vrap will have opinions on this!!! Haven't tried it myself.

Fruit juice mixed 50:50 with water gives an isotonic drink and is probably a lot cheaper than the made-up ones like Isostar, Lucozade Sport etc.

Ribena. (full fat, not Toothkind).

Maybe orange squash.

Add a bit of salt and - hey presto! - a sports drink.

Apparently a packet of Joosters eaten as you're running and washed down with water is a good source of energy - I may even have read that in Runner's World, and I intend to try it out one of these days.

Tried the Lukozade Sport that's going to be used at the FLM yesterday to get used to it. I reckon it's foul. It seems very strong and bites the back of my throat but I reckon I'm just going to have to persevere. there's no point training on one drink then finding I can't get along with the one used on the day.
