You need to train first

What marathon are you running? I've forgotten in all of your training posts.

David, I don't think chicken is made of carbs.

Is there anywhere that does chip butties?

Oh, that's handy. Do they still have that 'eat as much pizza as you like for £5' lunchtime deal? Or was that just when I was a student?

Good point - Thats OK because there is a pizza hut less than half a mile down the road.

Great. Put the pizza between 2 slices of bread and you're set!

It should match your training regime:

- only do it indoors

- eat a little bit but don't worry about the quantity or quality (aka McDondalds)

- stop

- give up on eating altogether, and just drink instead

Whats the worst that could happen?

I have just looked back at the Brighton thread and you are at least half a week too late to start carb loading.

That'd be about right considering he's about 14 weeks too late to start training.

Unless there is a lot of rain and his synchronised swimming comes in handy.

well the Kenyans make do with ugali all year round, none of this carb loading nonsense , and look where that got them...

Have you considered bog snorkelling Dave?

Greggs should be a supplement to every meal here on in.

Cab loading is where it's at.  See how many different taxi firms you can get lined up on your street.

David.mt carb meal the night before every big race.....fish and chips with bread and butter and a pint...

thats because you can always find a fish shop all over the country where ever you are staying for your race and it is very similar where  ever you go.......

Literain...pizza hut have got their all you can eat buffet back again and it includes pasta meal and salad.....sorted

Thanks Seren. I looked on their website and it's now £6.99! This seems less good value than when I was a student and it was a fiver, because even taking inflation into account I probably can't eat 12 slices any more.

18/04/2013 at 09:00

I haven't actually been there since 1999, but I remember quite enjoying the salad. The pizza was pretty nasty.

lit.i'm sure I could do 12 slices........the salad was ok..but now you have these buffets of the world that do lunchtime buffets for 6.99..and you can have meals made form all around the world and choices of starters and last time i went i had 7 desserts......

so pizza hut becomes not so good for its money
