Up and ran at 5am this morning. Beautiful sunrise over Kilpatrick Hills and River Clyde. Great start to day.My legs heavy as I did a Fartlek session !

Mid-Summer's Day. Woken by a particularly noisy dawn chorus at 4am and out for a 5 mile x-country run at 4:30. Unfortunately there were too many clouds to get a good summer solstice sunrise but as always it's the best time of the day to be out and about.

Steady run at 5am no deer, only squirrels,rabbits and a fox this morning.Cracking sunny morning too.

Good to know others like Corinthian are up and out at the same time of the morning !

Not quite as early as you lot but up at 5 every day and if not commuting then I'm out enjoying the wildlife and peace and quiet, saw my first early morning drunk for a while this morning as well, as long as you're not close enough to smell the booze then they're always good at shouting/slurring some motivation at you!

God, I got up late this morning compared to some of you!

Out the door before 6am. Now we're in the summer months, the light mornings are luuuuvvly! The only problem for me is my damn hayfever. It seemed really warm today compared to last week which still had a chill in the air.

I get up at 6am and leave by 6.15am. I do just over 4 miles most mornings at the moment. I could not run after work what with the heat, but also after a day's work I have little motivation so morning is the best time for me.

Will have to set the clock earlier though once I'm running longer distances *gulp*

Out at 5am.......stunnning.......a hedgehog, two deer and thousands of rabbits......5.6 miles......hampshire countryside was at its best this morning.........i was also clocking where the elderflowers were......elderflower champagne may have to be started.......

5am this morning. Dull, but warmish. Been a morning runner since 1984 !

Once got up and went out running at 2.50am as I thought my bedside alarm clock said 5:50 am ! It was quiet that morning

Was out the door on the bike by about 0445 this morning, the call to prayer from the local mosque had me wide awake at 0430. I definately do mornings not evenings.

I started reading this thread a couple of days ago and I thought I'll give that a go! Usually run after work as the thought of getting up at 5am seemed a bit mental. So I got up at 5 this morning and went out and did a wee 10k. I loved it, so peaceful and had a lot more energy than usual.

I may be converted, same again tomorrow!

I'm up at stupid o'c lock waiting for oldest on to phone. He's at his 6th YearSchool Dance at a hotel in Glasgow and I'm driving up to collect him.

Might just stay up when I get back...

So nice to hear so many other early morning runners. I can't get out of an evening because of family commitments so am a morning runner by necessity. Its so hard to get up and out but always so worth it. Did 4 miles this morning before it got too warm. Have that lovely warm optimistic feel and will cope with work so much better for doing it.

Leave it til nearer 8 on a weekend though.
