Taper fever here..... legs ache, back aches, head aches etc.  Although the later might be the 3 glasses of wine last night!

TOmmy - I'm tapering for the Chilham Castle Duathlon which is this Sunday.  Racing within half a mile of home on my birthday - doesn't get any better than that.. (well it could be better - it could stop raining)!

Morning all - 4 miles 2 x OR, 1 Hovis van, driving rain beautifully lit up by my head torch, quite interesting that every direction I turned it was coming directly into my face. Again, a bit of taper madness and unfortunately the stomach problem lingers on slightly, oh well, lots of bland carbs. Happy birthday for Sunday PSC, a nice way to celebrate. A bless you for Geordie. TG, yes, if I am selected it will be Challenge Barcelona next year, otherwise I will go for a half iron at the Vachery. It's Friday everyone, enjoy.

had to cut my run short cos my knee hurts not good 2 weeks before my marathon.

PSC - happy birthday and have fun on Sunday

Blimey it's busy this morning, that's a good assortment this morning Birky, Germans of course in there.  Have a good day Sunday PSC, the aches should go if you finish the bottle. Valis hope you are well, KateF hope the stomach aches go and MC hope that knee sorts itself out.  Taper should be when you are all at your fittest, it is mad isn't it.

Again out of the door with the cat at 5.15 this morning, strated off down a trail but it was so muddy decided to run round the town instead and got lost, only about half a mile from where I live.  All the street lights out and was in a development that is all cul de sacs and with lots of little arches.  Just me and my head torch, like one of those dreams you have where you can't escape.  Must look round it in the daylight sometime.

No SOC this morning - woken up at 6 by daughters to open my birthday cards and presents before work . Very happy with a new double water bottle belt and a hat and gloves in time for Beachy Head.

Will be SOCing tomorow or possibly going out a bit later from Cuckmere, over the 7 sisters and up to Beachy Head.
