Morning all. 4 miles early this morning, but on the treadmill at recovery speed so no NW, even my cat didn't make an appearance.
JF50, would you mind adding a link to the P&D (?) thread you mentioned, I can't seem to find it.
Rest day today, feel like I needed it too - I've got myself back up to 5 running / 2 rest days and about 30miles per week for the last fortnight, where as the couple of months after I did Liverpool Marathon in Oct I'd eased back to 4 running / 2 rest and about 22 miles per week.
Weather forecaste suggests this weekend might herald the return of shorts for my long run, very exciting! Almost exciting as the news that Mrs King has decided she quite fancies this running lark, so has signed up to do a beginners course with a women's running club in town (Downham Dollies) at the end of the month.
5:30 - have a good flight back
Martin link below
In to catch up so coffee time in a minute.
Afternoon all - 6 miles of huffing and puffing again, visit to the gym, spin class and swimming lesson this morning. 5.30 have a good flight, we've saved you some rain.
Just getting back into swing of things. Been doing some strectching today !
off to parkrun today to test the knee out....
Morning...off for my usual 4 mile Saturday morning plod...
3rd early morning run in 5 days - last year I don't think I average 3 early runs a month - the number of times I'd get out of bed at 6am only to take a few steps and wince and go back to bed as the plantar fasciitis issue flared up!! It's so nice to be able to go out for a long run and get back to a warm house with my wife & kids still in bed!
Good Morning all
5 miles including park run ,Managed a sub 22 min park run so another sign of getting back to normal. Good to see everyone's ill's also going. Hopefully we can put away the sick bed and the injury bench for the whole of 2013.
Must dash see yoiu all bright and early tomorrow.
after 3 days on the bounce running I decided to cycle today. First ride for a long long time and thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice and easy pace (mindful of the very slippy roads) and just meandered around the local lanes for 25 miles or so.. fantabulous.
Can't chat, got to go and find the missus, she's got her trailies on so could be anywhere...
Morning all - 5 miles, boot camp and spin for me. Thought I saw a OR but it was just a man running to his car in his jim jams. Getting speedy again valis I see. I took my new bike out yesterday PSC, managed 3 miles! I need to get out when the roads are quiet for some practice to master the new cycling position and how on earth the new fangled gears work. Have a good weekend all.
parkrun for me - and was pleased to do the 5k without any walking breaks felt tough though - hard to imagine it was only a few months ago I was regularly doing more than 10miles on a Sunday. Ah well,
went out for a slow slow bike ride with my son - he really crawls along, being 12 obviously makes you do everything except texting slowly. Nice to get him out, although he wasn't keen!
Good morning all
15 miles this morning ,quite warm and foggy here.
Psc ,Hope you found your other half.
Birky, I have read about the goal the gers conceded but I must see it as by all accounts the keeper threw it in to his own goal.
Kate, slowly but surley getting there. Hope you have your hi viz and lightsand are not joining ninja cyclist clan.
Maths.Glad your knee is holding up.

I've got someone providing input with my spring marathon training - 3 6am runs lined up next week. Also Marathon Talk Jantastic starts next week to provide additional motivation
12 miles off-road yesterday and 4 miles this morning. Seem to be a lot of folk out exercising and getting fresh air which may have something to do with New Year resolutions!
