Evening Birky
Still not running yet but plan to get back on track this weekend.
Punchbowl this weekend TommyG if you fancy a long plod
Rest morning today, although might go for a little sharpener this afternoon... will see how I feel.
Morning peeps
Morning all, 5 miles recovery run on the treadmill this morning, lovely and gentle on the legs. 20 miles tomorrow and that's another week of marathon training done
Have a good weekend
Good morning all
Rest day today. Having just finished reading this the comments at the bottom are quite good as well.
why we love to run
see you all in the morning
morning everyone
still no running for me, in fact, nothing yet today but will go to the gym and have a swim after work
Morning all
Anyone else got long run fear for tomorrow ? 7am call, 21 miler planned. Can feel the burn already.....
See you tomorrow
Perversely Adrian I'm quite looking forward to mine, 20 miles for me tomorrow. I find the LT runs I am doing at the moment tough and the long ones seem fine in comparison. I've also found a few new routes I haven't even driven let alone run so the anticipation of the run through new countryside is halping me to endure the long time out on the roads
I'm with you, normally. I'm just not feeling tomorrows run....yet. Here's hoping that changes....
JF50 - When is your marathon? Am a bit worried I'm behind if you're already at 20miles!!
Rest day today, 1st ever park run tomorrow
Adrian - have you tried listening to audio books? Not everyone's cuppa but I find if I'm at a good bit in the book I'm gagging to get out to run so I cna see what happens next!
Happy Friday peeps!
Dobster I am running London, Apr 21, and you? I'm on the P & D programme which is quite mileage heavy although I am on the low version, upto 55 miles per week
All good - had two aberdeen angus burgers for dinner whilst watching 'spirit of the marathon' on youtube. Buzzing now and can't wait until tomorrow.
Bring it.
Evening you lot
pc froze on me this morning
4M Steadily done. NW: 1 owl, 3 BMWs (BMW Corner) 1 post van and 4 horses, oddly no Kingsmill Van..
Adrian: All the best for your 21miler tomorrow at 7am.
Evening all - 5 miles for me this morning, 1 cat and that was it. Birky, no bread today? Dobster, good luck with the parkrun tomorrow, and for the long runners. valis, nice piece, have seen quite a few links to the Guardian blogs as well. Have a good weekend folks.
JF50 - Also running London but using the RW ultimate schedule. Should I be worried that I'm only at 12 miles? ALso what's P & D? Sorry for all the questions!!
morning all
off to trial for a swimming club masters section - don't know if it means that I have to be a certain standard but if I can't run then having a few structured swimming sessions a week will be good.
Dobster - P&D is Pfizinger and Douglas - they wrote a book called Advanced Marathoning
tommy - hope your wife is doing ok.
welcome Adrian
Maths, the trial should be to assess your coaching needs and fit you in with the correct lane based on pace and ability. Its not a pass/fail test.
Morning team.. resting today as Punchbowl 30 tomorrow. I need my niggle to settle down otherwise it's going to be a long day - and it's going to be raining all day! P&D also sometimes refered to on here as "Pfiz", just to confuse us all I am sure!
PSC - good luck for tomorrow, it is forecast snow here all day tomorrow - sick of the stuff, even the kids are bored with it now
I would rather snow than rain... and in the Witley area we seem to have rain predicted from 9am - 2pm... which, oddly enough, is when I will be run/walking. Oh well, at least the drive home will be pleasant!
