Nottingham... that's oop North isn't it!
I'm in Kent. So softy southener here..
Off to the footie today and its a Noon Kick Off so an earlier start. Its only 6 miles up the road from us right enough.
dobster; I live not that far west of Glasgow in Erskine. Its virtually next to Glasgow airport, but 5 minutes out the door and I'm in the countryside.
Morning all, work again for me today and a rest day, long one tomorrow, will be 20, could be 22 depending on mood at 20
Suffolk for me Dobster,
How come alot of the races are down here? Birky - Apologies I did know you were from far oop North from some of your posts
Defo a southerner here! (border of oxfordshire and swindon)
I used to live in Carterton Dobster, back in the 80s, bet you can't guess where I worked?
I'm having a punt at RAF?????
Yes spent two years at Brize Norton, 80 to 82. My eldest daughter was born at Wroughton hospital which in those days was an RAF hospital, guessing it is probably closed now. Loved the Cotswolds area.
Are you still in the RAF? It is a nice area, I feel lucky to live here! Just looked, Wroughton hospital closed in '96
No I demobbed in 94 so closing on 20 years ago now. Had a great time though so always look back fondly on those times. I sort of remember things by association with where I was stationed at the time.
Good morning all
10 miles this morning inc park run
Dobster ,Maths Psc, Chris cheers.
I'm also a southerner border of Bucks and London.

ok, so 6 miles fast walk in 1:30 - not far off my 10k running personal worst so not too bad
That's good going MC, in a way only runners appreciate, probably harder than running when you walk at that pace.
feels like you are going so slowly, but I looked back at a year ago - and that was the pace my slow runs were only a year ago
Afternoon,Ballbuster done in 4hrs 9 mins which is my quickest for a while (possibly quickest ever) so very pleased with myself. My son did it in 3hrs 46 so I need to work hard to be a competetive dad next time around!
Dobster - I'm in Farnham, Surrey.
Good Afternoon L&G
JF, if you don't crack 4 hours for the VLM I'll be very surprised. I like entering races but your training regime is one to be admired.
MC, your perserverance is a credit.
Valis, you sure it isn't Rafael Benitez on your case
Birky, enjoy the footie
Mrs 5.30am and my eldest were off at 4am for their flight to Innsbruck. A week of skiing awaits. So I have my daughter at home for a week. I expect the quality of the cooking is going to nosedive. At least tonight she's on a sleepover, so that I can enjoy the tribulations of the South Downs tomorrow morning.
Why am I posting....bored? Worse than that I mucked up the staff rota and ended up giving them all Saturday pm off! Stuck on reception with a solemn cup of earl grey and the laptop.
Oh finally, Kate doing weights in the utility room conjures up pictures of her bench pressing the tumble dryer and washing machine....
Chris, I'm 30 minutes down the A325/A3 from you. Well done on your efforts. My son is a bit young to take me out just yet!
Dobster I'm sandwiched one mile from both the coast and the South Downs not far from Portsmouth.
well done Chris and your son!
5:30 - you make me laugh - fancy giving everyone saturday afternoon off!
I'm still at work 5.30 as well, about another 3 hours left, 0-0 at the moment. Bit of a panic on your rota I'll bet when you spotted it!
Afternoon all - 5 miles for me this morning NW a squirrel DW a blackbird, then 2 hours on the spin bike, heading for a swim shortly. This is all very bad as I have a race tomorrow so am not expecting world record pace for 20 miles. 5.30, I'm not quite up to bench pressing the freezer yet, give me time. We move house next week so I will be moving out to the garage for weights, I will start with the lawnmower. Good luck with the hills tomorrow, shouldn't be too muddy. Good work today Chris, I bet it was chilly out there, you can train hard over the summer and have an autumn re-match. Dobster, I'm about 6 miles up the road from Chris. Birky definitely gets the northern award. JF, hope you make it to 22 tomorrow. valis, what's the longest you're running before Brighton? MC, you are out there doing something which I'm sure is good for you mentally as well as for strength.
