Geordie is sun bathing out on the back steps... He really loves lying in the warmth
Not a bad day here weather wise.
I sat for a while at the back door reading Boff Walleys book 'Run Wild ' Quite a enjoyable and thought provoking read.
Good morning all
7 miles this morning with hill work. However not quite what I had planned due to my fear of heights kicking in when the path I was following turned in to loose rocks with a drop on one side . So came back down and took the main road for 3 mils which is all up hill too.
I have not run for the last two day although I have been swimming every day. The glorious euro victory stopped me running Thursday morning and the hospitality of local fish restaurant owner plying me with rakki ( not sure of spelling) preventing me from running yesterday.
Kate, Tempo shame.
last two days mainly seeing the sights today beech and sea swimming.
Valis, sounds wonderful. abitjealous.com
Cyclosportive tomorrow so going to do a brick today.
valis, I am also jealous
bloody cold here but I need to do it so off to the lake for some ow swimming. Have the masters swim session later so will make it a short dip in the lake
16 miles over the North Downs, didn't bump into anyone doing the NDW 50. NW 6 magpies, 2 robins, plenty of horses and rabbits and geese who hissed at me as they escorted their pretty goslings down the river. Valid, plus 1 on the jealous list, I guess you had to indulge in the local grog to hide the shame or Terry putting his kit on again. PSC, a brick, proper training! Good luck tomorrow. MC, how was the water, Mr F got in the lake too, haven't heard from him since. Off to the polo today, then depending on temperature and wine consumption there might be a trip to the lake tomorrow. Have a good weekend.
Morning - 12 miles cross country this morning. Lots of army activity plus large groups of mountain bikers. Ran through a lovely bluebell wood in full bloom - quite stunning!
The water wasn't too bad at Datchet Lake when I was thgere last week. Much warmer than I expected in fact there was one swimmer doing the 750m course without a wetsuit.
Valis - sounds like a great holiday and plus 1 on the fear of heights!
water was ridiculously cold, someone had a thermometer on their watch and said it was 10 degrees. feet and hands freezing and didn't put my head under.
On tuesday need to swim properly there though
also went to master swimming afterwards to do some proper swimming and warm up a bit
had a rubbish night's sleep and feel under the weather so have canned the planned bike ride. SHame as it is a lovely day
it is my youngest's birthday - 9 today, so soc cake making instead. His friends are coming round for party and pizza later
Evening all - 62 miles on the bike today, and some sun to do it in lovely. Hope you survived the party MC.
Good morning all

Kate 62M on bike . Respect
maths: A belated Happy Birthday to your youngest.
I was trying to work out whether we are all training more as the weather improves? there is more cross training, but generally we seem to be reasonably consistent.
104 stupidly hilly miles yesterday. Lots of time in the aid stations and the average speed/time is nothing to write home about. But the deed is done. That's 3 biggies in 3 weeks. Might do nothing for a few days now.
Kate, the ndw 50 signs (centurion) were still out at Detling nr Maidstone. Your training goes from strength to strength.
Maths, 10 degrees isn't funny.
Morning all - 5 miles, winter has returned. Last day of hols then valis, hope you had a good one. Morning birky.
Good work valis.
PSC and Kate - well done on the biking
valis - enjoy your last day of hols
2 hour turbo this morning very warm and humid here which made me ridiculously sweaty, and I forgot to bring my water bottle to work
Morning psc, valis, kate and maths
psc: 104 miles ! Total and Utter Respect. Oh just re read it on the bike. Respect anyway mate
good training everyone but I don't like the sound of winter returning. The temperature yesterday hit 30 .today it's the same if not a little hotter, I might have turned soft being spoilt with this good weather.
valis: A good win yesterday for Blues.
It's been a cracking sunny and warm day up here all day today.
Managed to do some cross training outdoors (gardening)
