Took the day off from running yesterday - (only the 5th day off this year) and a short run this morning to get the legs moving again after all those steps at the Munro! NW just the one rabbit, DW the same badger, SIIACW (stupid idiot in a car watch) 1 obviously late for work and overtaking on blind bends and risking himself and others moving to the DW category!!
birky - I am jealous, we still have another 4 and a half weeks
and I just ate loads of sweets I buy them to give to the kids at school but just ate them all myself
Morning maths and Chris
maths: Yeah but they go back in mid August.
I can't remember our teachers bringing sweets in for us! Although maybe they ate them all too!!
no cane nowadays so we have to resort to bribery. Perhaps carrots would be better, I could eat them without feeling guilty and the kids wouldn't care!!
Morning you lot
4M Steadily done, legs a bit heavy, Dull, warm, no wind at all
NW: The usual suspects,1 owl, 1 kingsmill Van, 1 German Tourist Coach, 4 horses, 2 llamas. 1 cat
Younger son returned yesterday from Stornoway and seemed to enjoy himself.
No run today my bike alarm has gone off for the last two nights at one am. Monday didn't get back to sleep as I stayed up trying to find the problem. Then last night I put it in to service mode which means it still emits a high pitch beep every minute but is not armed ,finally got back to sleep about two thirty.
Now to find a mobile Bike alarm fitter who came strip the damn thing out the bike.
Oh and the reason it went off according to the diagnostic mode as defined in the manual "The system has detected the ignition on signal which be a simple mistake or may be a forced ignition lock".
Its a mistake that has woken me and my tired neighbours up the last two nights.GGGRRRR
nice 4 miles for me, and pleased to report that running is starting to feel a bit easier - must be getting my 'running fitness' back.
valis - how annoying about your bike alarm
Morning valis and maths
Valis: That alarm must be really annoying !
Maths: Glad to hear your running fitness is returning
Valis - glad I don't live next door to you!!!
Cracking sunny start to the day up here. 4.6 M Steadily done. Okay run.
NW: 1 owl,2 llamas 4 horses, 4 rabbits, 2 BMWs,
PW: 1 car
Thats's me another year older today
Morning all - 2 early morning runs in Marbella, and weights this morning. Happy birthday birky! valis, you must be popular. Chris, what did Rusty think of the day off, not impressed? MC, can't see you persuading the kids carrot sticks would be a good idea. PSC, I also have no idea about these things, I just told the shop the make of my bike and they handed me over a stem, which Mr F kindly fitted. Happy hump day.
happy birthday birky
nothing this morning because I feel shattered though I am not sure why!
Mornng Kate and Maths
Cheers re birthday wishes.
Kate: Managed a couple of morning runs in Benalmadena few years ago. It was very warm even at 6am !
maths: Hope you feel less shattered as the day goes on.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BIRKY!!
Kate - Rusty went for a run with Jenny. He NEVER has a day off!!
Good Evening L&G
Happy Birthday Birky.
Just off to buy some New Forest ice cream for my final preparations for what appears to be a very hilly marathon on Saturday.
The only other training this month has been the South Downs and Littledown marathons.
So my June monthly running total will be 3 x 26m 385yds........
Lazy, ice cream eating marathon runners rule.
I reckon I ought to be posting on here. Wake up at 4:00am, out at around 5:30am.
Have an interval session planned for tomorrow, starting at 6:00am.
For what its worth I'll be asleep in a couple of hours. Night person I ain't.
Welcome to the madhouse RicF.
RicF, this is the place for you. 5.30, I won't now see you on Saturday unfortunately, I have had to admit the bicycling needs more work than the running so I have a 125 mile sportive instead. It is a sad day.
There was a guy flying a remote control plane on Hankley Common at 6am this morning. How weird is that?
Kate - 125 miles! Impressive distance.
