How would it work if the number of runners was uneven and thus wouldn't divide exactly into two?

half a medal.

What about medals for the first half of the field and just ribbons for the second half?

How about they just shoot anyone taking over 2 hours ?

How about give the first half medals and allow them to throw them at the second half of the field as they finish? Half the cost on medals and everyone gets one at some point.

The Oscar rule.

Little did the lady know that spending too long in the bathroom could have such disastrous consequences.

It was the fact she needed to lock he bathroom door in the middle of the night

Having just looked at last years Reading half results, to be in the top half you only have to run 2:08:20, So not the biggest challenge

Not quite sure what the 12 people who took over 4 hours were doing ? Stooped for a pie & pint ?

were they on the ground?

Err I had a pint of guinness and a doughnut half way through the marathon on an Ironman last year !

So hardly impressed with people having a pint on a half marathon

Oh and of course I knicked a beer from someone in the finsh chute as well.....

I don't really care DF3, So long as you are happy with a T shirt and a tacky medal

The beer at Reading isn't a pint, it's a plastic vending cup full.
