Wigan to Leeds canal run

Hey guys.

I'm going to run the Wigan to Leeds portion of the Leeds-Liverpool canal in three weeks to raise money for my friend's mum who has MS. Has anybody run this route before and have any advice?

I need to know about B&Bs along  the way also. Any advice greatly received!
