Cheers Keir.

I'll do my haters proud

Wow, what a performance. Have to say you are a constant improvement.
Good luck for the 5k. Hope you post your result afterwards. 5k under 20 minutes should
be easy peasy.

Loads of pressure. Millions of it.

100 gigapascals in fact.

Just trying to kill time on RW to avoid buying stuff off Ebay at the mo so I'm just going to leave some inane comments on a few threads for a while, the pros of dogs off leads, compulsory ipods for races, encouraging walkers to start in the front pens....

Or just sit and watch here.

You're pretty cute D2D by the way - Has to be said.

Runnerman - The results will be on the MK Parkrun website shortly after I should think, but I doubt they'll be up instantly, so I'll whiz back down the d/c way and post 'em for all to see. Looking forward to having people finally believe me on here, not that it matters, ha.

Sprint - Gigapascals? That sounds like something I'd order at the Italian! I just paid my eBay seller fees - £31. Grrrr. I could have entered a good race for that. Thanks for the compliment

Bet I beat you on feedback rating
28/01/2010 at 16:54

104!

You?

28/01/2010 at 16:55

21:15...If you do it faster, I'll cut you some slack....

If you're slower, then you're full of shit!

Fair enough.

Are you a 'power-seller' though?

I've only got my turquoise star

And some frumpy cow left me 'good feedback' but said 'the dress is nice BUT it is NOT vintage' - alright, calm down.

28/01/2010 at 16:59

Not a power seller, yet.

But am very well known at local post office.

28/01/2010 at 17:00

Anything sub 22:30 would be a good improvement on relative performamces at 10K, HM and M. Sub 20 would be an out-standing improvement.

28/01/2010 at 17:00

They should give you a star in there.

Or at least some free stamps.

28/01/2010 at 17:03

I get free airmail stickers, but that's the limit of their generosity I think.

Maybe it's due to the tiny tiny shorts worn as I'm posting items post work but pre-gym. They just want me to pay and get out.

28/01/2010 at 17:06

I wear tiny, tiny shorts to Tesco after running but I don't get my pasta or pesto or basil or mushrooms free.

28/01/2010 at 17:08

Tiny shorts in tescos won't get your packages in a Royal Mail aircraft.

Think about where to use their power.

I've got to say that that was a fair comment JM................but then i think D2D has a lot of bottle to take part in this race knowing that there are so many people who will be looking at her result.........she knows how to get an audience........she's just not mouthing off and then hiding in anonomity

D2D......racing 5K's at the park run will do you much better training wise than trying to race half marathons every week.......

I hope you enjoy it and if you feel sick at the end then you know you ran well.

Good luck

Oh yes we run in the Cardiff aprk run as only 10 miles away

I felt sick when I got to 3.1 miles earlier so I must be doing something right

FWIW - I only created this thread as I was pleased with my progress and yeah, admittedly, I wanted a few 'well dones'. Certainly wasn't expecting 14,000 views & people wanting to check my time after Saturday though. Bizarre.

28/01/2010 at 17:19

D2D - Remember Taper!. Make sure you have an easy Friday.

I don't  know where you find the time to train with the amount of time you must spend listing to get £31 of ebay fees and the amount you post on RW. ALthough being a young women, perhaps you have mastered multi-tasking. i am killing time in the middle of a year 11 parents evening,  but hope to finish in time to do some intervals with the club!

28/01/2010 at 18:33

I would say (in fairness to D2D) that she'd probably be better doing the 5k next Saturday not this Saturday, as running a hard 5k 48 hours before a target 5k is unusual as tapering goes...

Still, the result will indeed be interesting.
