Hi Michelle,
I have two nephews who are 18 and 20 who both have Addisons disease. One has type one and the other type 2, they basically lead a normal life but take daily steroids.
The youngest was diagnosed at age 7 and the elder one at 11, (he is also a Coeliac) we found it very difficult to get much info in this country and ended up doing some research on the net.
There was a Doctor Gottlieb in the USA who provided a wealth of info for the family, the boys took part in some research for him as it is extremely rare to have two sufferers in the same family. (At the time they were one of 4 families world wide.)
If you want to email me with any questions I can pass them on to the boys ot their mum!
