Check out www.egoscue.com

I am a postural alignment therapist practising this method in southeast London.
Through personal experience, chronic pain and injury, I know it works - permanently!

I also get these pains but only in my right calf it feels like crampy burning. I have started wearing DVT socks, they really stop these pains. I'm not sure why, but if I run without them I can only do 20 mins then have to stop. You should give them a go.

I'm fairly new to running & run about 5k 4 times a week. About 2 months ago I started to get a pain in my right calf, right round to the front where the muscle joins the shin, which felt a little like I might have over stretched the muscle, and it's slowly built up so that now it's giving me quite a bit of trouble. It's fine about 10 minutes into a run but the rest of the time, when walking or just sitting about, it's really stiff & quite painful. Any ideas? I'm starting to train for my first 10k but don't want to do any more damage.

Apparently after a run if you have cold bath this helps take the pain away. Also try the DVT socks whilst running they really work for me. Its not a good look but they do the job.
