I've just started running seriously these last couple of weeks and am now up to 15-20mins per day.
I've just beginning to experience what feels like bruising in the outer ball area of my left foot in the metatarsel area. Right foot is fine.
Anyone had the same problem? Any ideas?
thanks
jon

Jon, have you got a proper pair of running shoes? You can get this problem if the forefoot is not well cushioned. You're getting to the stage where the right footwear becomes very important.

Glenn
thanks for the reply.
Have got good shoes, but saying that they are about 2 yrs old so I was thinking of changing.
Better safe than sorry.
