From one knee to another

My left kneee has been great recently so my right decides it wants some attention.

Clear symptons: When I walk I get a twinge on the outside of the joint line just after my foot leaves the ground. No pain on stairs or when I had to make a quick dash. More of a twinge after sitting for a while, especially driving.
This began on Saturday. It did ease a little by Sunday but has not improved since.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I did do a longer run than normal on Saturday, on uneven ground towards the end. I will rest but feel the need to have an idea as to how long this should be for and what I should avoid to aid recovery.

Forrest (stupid is as stupid does - 10 mile runs after 5 weeks running).
