Help! Due to an infection I’m laid up in hospital for a few days on IV antibiotics.  No running or cycling for a “few weeks”!

Any advice on how I can limit running fitness loss during a two week period?  I’m a keen ultra running and was a week away from starting a sub 3hr marathon training plan!

The only things you can do are stretching and getting well.

You won't lose much fitness in 2 weeks. It may even help you. Just go easy on the food as you won't be burning it off.

Don't worry about it, just mind your diet, eat normally but minimize saturated fats and sugars.

The rest will probably completly help you.

All sounding good.  Still in hospital so low fat food is not a problem!

Thanks for the piece of mind
