I swear by the thumbnail thing. Y'know when you push really hard into the bite with your tumbnail to make a X - don't know why it works, but it does......

I've tried that on a couple - not sure if it's working yet....New ones keep popping up, I can't keep up!

What about one of those cold pack thingies - the one where you break the capsule bit inside a bag and then it goes all cold - a bit less damp than ice! Sorry, can't think of anything else. Good luck!

thank you I might see what vinegar does - I've got some white wine vinaigre at home.

Anthisan Cream (from the chemist) and if they're really driving you up the wall, Piriton tablets (but they do make you sleepy, so don't take them till you get home.

Yes I know tell me about it I went out for a run at Hampstead Heath last night and my legs are now covered in insect bites and they are so itchy trying my hardest not to scratch it try after bite soda cream seems to take the itching away for a while.

Yes, it's horrible, they attacked after we'd stopped, suddenly felt all prickly and noticed a swarm of the little critters all around. I seem to stay itchy for ages. Think I'll try the scented moisturiser trick before tonight's run...
What is soda cream?

Boots sell a little clicky thing you push on the bite , gives a litlle electric shock to the area,
it works a treat, also anti histamine(? spelling) cream helps, i live in north italy and the mozzies are like bats,
the above works for me----------sometimes

best of luck
