I've had a "knee problem" for the last three weeks since an issue with the snow. I fell and felt a pop in my knee, since i've managed no more than five mins exercise before having to stop, now this has started to interupt my normal daily life, My knee is now permanently swollen, keeps giving way and gives me sharp shooting pains if i turn quickly.

I'm hoping i have not done my ACL but what can i do. Go to my GP? Can't afford/haven't got private med cover,

Any advice greatfully received

Your knee is precious. See a sports injury specialist even if you have to sacrifice other pleasures in life. Hourly rate is worth it for a proper diagnosis. Look one up in the yellow pages or sk around to see if your firends/ colleagues can recommend anyone. Do it today.
