Sorry to mention this amongst all serious injuries.

Hurt little toe running over in Fleetwood recently (rubbed on trainer) and just as it calmed down last week I stubbed it on chair in my dining room. Doing GNR on Sunday, any advice how to protect it / kill pain. Help

Ibuprofen and bloody-mindedness. Apply more bloody-mindedness than ibuprofen, though.

Once you get going on the GNR you'll forget about it - there's too much other stuff going on to distract you from a painful pinkie.

I might also suggest taping it to the next toe, so it can't move about too much.

Good luck with the GNR, 4 days to go, very excited!

Thanks guys never thought about the taping to next toe.

Good idea

It might be worth putting something between your toes when you tape them (to stop them rubbing each other), and make sure you try it in advance of the race.

those corn protection tubes are perfect for little toes and have a soft gel layer inside

Good advice Inter, so worried about this never thought golden rule use nothing new and about testing in advance.

Cathy will have a look in chemists on my way home.

Only a sore toe but if it changes my stride or style I could get problems some where else in 13 miles. Other knee or ankle looks favourite.

Good news got round GNR without any toe problems. Race trainers seemed to support sore toe without it rubbing etc. Felt a problem in right foot middle toe but must have been in my mind!!

Time not as hoped but hey I made it round .
