Mental illness and running

I wanted a place where we could get advice and support.

Olives and red wine
I wouldn't normally drink on a work night, in fact I've been alcohol free for two months, but I'm so short of sleep, I'm hoping it'll help send me off

Sounds like a good combo

We've cracked out the dark chocolate and salted caramel, too. There are worse things in the world.

Oh Bear, I totally forgot about your arthroscopy
How's the knee?

PS I am ok, honest, just had something very sad happen last week that we're having to deal with
04/11/2012 at 20:33

Knee is a bit hurty sore but no more than to be expected - bit sad as I can't be acrive this week which was hoping me stay stable

I hope this doesn't sound hollow, but it won't be forever. Upper body weights any good?
In the meantime ((((Bearhug))))

So sorry to hear that Frodo. If it's anything you want to share at anytime I know the people here are excellent at listening and understanding.

Bear, we burn calories even when we sit still.

Thank you x

Yup, upper bodyweight stuff, core training and coming up with a new route/target
04/11/2012 at 21:44

I can't get to the gym but I can use some weights at home I  guess

04/11/2012 at 21:46
Yup, has the fizz given you lots of exercises?

Today I am feeling a little isolated cos my phone has no signal and I couldn't go out cos both moo and I are poorly
04/11/2012 at 23:05
Oh Frodo sorry your trip was tricky but it's brilliant you managed to push through. Perhaps you could pop a new specialist cheese grater on your Christmas list

Good idea re the upper body stuff, you are doing brilliantly bear, as Frodo says it's only a temporary interuption to your new routine. So glad it's working to make you feel more stable. It's brilliant to have a plan even if you need to wait a little while before you can implement it.

oh poor by eck, feeling isolated must have been horrible today. Hope you both feel better tomorrow x

Afternoon peeps

Hope going back to work went ok Frodo

I wouldn't say it's a roaring success - I'm pretty much hiding in my office, trying to get on with stuff and generally avoiding everyone. There are a few people who know what's happened, but their kindness just makes me cry. I'm just counting down the hours and hoping that this will get easier over the week.
Anyway, enough with the self pity, how is the poorly knee?

Sorry to hear that hun ((( Frodo )))

Knee is much the same, might try a short walk later

I hope the sun is shining for your walk
