I lurk a lot-

dont run as much as id like - was doing 50 plus races a year

on 500 races with Phil - 253 hM's - 42 FM's

gonna do my utmost to get back to something nr it all though

Yes, the sleep fairy didn't get to me until about 5 in the morning but I'm up and about.  I feel I'm not being sensible in getting up though!  Does this mean I'm going to have to go for a run on my own?

Sorry the sleep fairy has been slacking in sleep duties. Its one of the worst things and I used to dread going to bed. Would spend an hour nodding off then wake up at 3.30. Thankfully things a lot better now and I'd hate to go back to that. I've cut out caffeine apart from my first cup of tea in a morning, I've managed to acquire a taste for redbush tea that has sleep properties and I can reccommend a great book

I think I'd better go sooner rather than later.  Just another round of toast needed first.  Then about another six excuses before I finally make it!  I will make it though.

Ooo thanks for the book recommendation I'll have a look. I don't tend to read self help type books but useful tips on managing insomnia sound really helpful. Got to be worth a look, I get frustrated being given the same 4 or 5 over and over; warm bath, hot milky drinks, tightening then relaxing muscles etc. I'm sure they do work for some people but if someone is asking the question they've probably already tried and failed at a night time routine etc (overtired and grumpy? Me?)

I normally avoid self help books too. I saw this one in a charity shop for 20p so it had to be worth a go and its the best 20p I've ever spent. Its based on propper research to not quirky.

Breakfast first, then a run with my husband. Soon.  Honest, soon.

Actually I was thinking of suggesting that the forum should be renamed to 'Mental illness and running and cake'.  I''ll have a run on your behalf today then By eck.
