Ive had a pain in the back of my knee for a few weeks now, its not to bad when i run but hurts when i lift my leg up in the way you'd step over a waist high fence. It also hurts the back and side of the knee when i put my heal up on the other knee in a sitting down position or a gluteal stretch I read somwhwere that it might be the biceps femoris which is a muscle in the back of the leg. Does anyone know what have might caused it or what i can do about it. I run 4/5 times a week and need to start an 18 week marathon training plan soon. Cheers gary
I would think it was given the actions when it hurts- see the link
i would guess that hamstring stretches is your best bet.
