Pins and needles

Should I be concerned?

For quite a while now, I've had a problem with my left leg/foot when running. After approx 4 miles it starts to tingle and gradually goes completely dead on me. This normally lasts for anywhere from 3 to 5 miles and then disappears again. For the rest of my run or race it doesn't give me any more trouble.
I've noticed also for several months that often I wake up in the morning with pins and needles in my arms. Is this cause for alarm, or could it be a trapped nerve somewhere?

the pins ad eedles whe ruing seems to be quite a common problem
Isnt always the back IW
where exactly in the foot/leg??????

arm trouble could be a neck problem
very rarely B12 deficiency or a peripheral nerve problem could cause this

down the back of the calf into the foot.

arm could indeed, I have an old whiplash injury in my neck from falling down the cellar steps about 15 years ago.

err....well that's what he wrote, I think. But many docs aren't noted for legible handwriting! Maybe I read it wrong.

ok - I'll go see someone

IW - I went through quite a phase of waking with pins and needles in my hands and arms (a good couple of months) - but it did eventually go <so you are not the only one>

I'd do as PH says, though - go and check with the physio
