pre race diet

Hi guys, got a 10k in lincoln this weekend, and a few other racs in the not too distant future. any suggestions to good pre race meals, breakfasts etc. normally eat about 3 to 4 hours before an event as i cant run on a full stomach. and try to eat lots of pasta etc the night before and then pig out on cereal in the morning. but what works for you?
