I know a lot of people will say 'proper' porridge better etc but I don't the consistency of it and prefer RB as it's smoother. Is it still suitable as a pre run breakfast?
Yes, absoulutely. It's easier to digest for a start and probably has a similar nutrition content.
And I missed out the word 'like'
Ready Break is just finer ground porridge oats so it's absolutely fine.
Ready Brek makes your tummy glow too.
Regular oats don't do that.
Ok think I will get some then, not had it for years but now it's getting colder I need something more than my usual fruit and yogurt!
I love Ready Brek, I smear it on my testicle (I don't have a right one) when I go for a long run on cold mornings.
Or as they are also known as...Windscale Flakes
It has the same nutrients but has a higher GI than porridge but that doesn't matter if you are an active person
So is the lower the GI the better then? Is there a optimin GI for a pre-run breakfast?
