Anyone know what this could be?
Just Before school started i ran 10 miles and had no problems at all, in the first week i went running in the evenings for around 30 minutes and after one i had a bit of pain in my right thigh and though nothing of it, left it alone for a while but came back to running and it hurt more than before! It is usually worse once i have stopped and it was fine durin swimming today. I have been using deep heat and iburprophen (not sure how its spelt!) and that helps a little but is stilll bad.
Any idea on what it could be? or how long to heal? just because i wanted to go on a long run this weeked, Thanks a lot!
where on your thigh is the pain?
its at the front inside most of the way down
I'm no expert, but possibly a trigger point problem (although as RunMart says, a trip to the doc might be on the cards) requiring massage and stretching of the offending muscles. It could be one of several muscles causing the base problem.
check out these two websites, they may helphttp://www.triggerpoints.net/hip-thigh-knee.htm
