Guys,

As a male runner who is a little reluctant to wear a bra, I used to suffer from runners nipple for any distances over 5 miles.

Like many of I have tried plasters and vaseline, but none last the distance.

Try painting a little Germolene New Skin Liquid Plaster on your nipple before your run. I have ben doing this for over a year, and my problem is solved.

This works a treat.

I find that Asda's own version on Elastoplast tape works fine for me. Lasted for 50k last week with no problems and only costs about a quid a roll.

You should work in Germolines marketing department Neil.

Millsy1977, I'm not really trying to get a job in the germolene marketing department, and perhaps cheaper/own brands of liquid plaster will work just as well.

I have tried a few different types of tape, but being a bit hairy in that region, tape doesn't stick for long for me.

There is a lot of hype about all these expensive wicking running singlets but I have found that they are extremely abrasive and for me I get sore if I go anywhere near 10K in them. I am in Thailand and have found a singlet in a large superstore that outperforms the expensive items in the nipple chafing stakes and costs £2. The store is quite big in UK too.

It may be worth experimenting with your kit. Just a thought. www.oldmarathonrunner.co.uk

Home taping works, but watch out for the RIAA.
