Hi all,

Looking for some advice if possible.

Out running tonight, and the soles of both my feet were hurting slight, but mainly my left foot. Wasn't painful enough to stop, but now I have my left foot is agony. Struggling to put much weight on it, so hobbling around rather than being able to walk.

Can't really get any pain when pressing on the sole of my foot by hand, but can get it by stretching back my 2nd toe.

Anybody got any idea as to what this might be? And any stretching etc I could try... got a half next weekend.

PS. Have run relatively trouble free for 2 years, had gait analysed, trainers that I wore tonight are generally rotated, and should have done less than 150 miles...

PPS. Have just started to re-introduce Sunday runs in the past 3-4 weeks.

Hi

I had a similar pain that appeared during GNR. The best way I could describe it was as if I was standing on a pencil and it ran across the ball of my foot. It turned out to be tendonitis. The foot pain disappeared after a few days but the tendons higher up in my ankle still haven't healed properly. Not sure if this is the same or not but the physio advised me to rest until the pain went away - if your half is next weekend a week of rest prob won't do too much damage.

Sounds like Mortons Neuroma. There is advice on this if you do some research. Probably on this site. I ended up wearing a Orthaheel 3/4 insert.
