first time writer and hope some of you maybe able to help. I've bee running for a few years now, however, about 5 months ago I got shin splint while taking part in a half marathon.
I think this was caused mainly due to it being on a hard surface and this was my first HM and longest distance. I took plenty of rest and be doing exercises for it to try and help but after 5 months I'm still getting pain. I had spoken with my Doc who just tells me to get rest.
I'm no thinking perhaps some form of specialist for help, however,am unsure what they can help with?
Does anyone know what I can do next, can a sports injury specialist really help?
I live in Windsor, and if anyone know of someone good I would be very thankful.
