Gulp.
That's some good mileage boys. I was chuffed when I ran two days in a row this week @ 3.5 miles each time!!

There are a couple of Halfs coming up that I can heartily recommend...
Barns Green (Horsham) 30/09  and Badger (Dorking) (fabulous run) 07/10.
I've got the NF Half on 23/09 but hopefully I'll make it to one or other or both of the above as well. Anyone for an ice cream afterwards?

Mileage? Don't know why, but I did a total of just over 100 in the two weeks ending last Saturday.  Have knocked it back this week, starting the run in (ha ha) to Stockholm half on 15th.

I did Barns Half 3(?) years ago when the heavens opened before the start.  Vera Lynn started us all off. Not one of my better runs.

I was there Eagle. The portaloo did a 'titanic' into the mud and all the men came sliding out. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in my entire life

Good mileage boys and you too Limper. Green with envy. Wish I was that fit.
One day soon I hope.

Am glad it's the weekend. Some long days this week.

Time to colour the grey tomorrow with a trip to the hairdresser.

I'm not fit. I'm fat, but definitely not fit.

I bet you are not fat and you are fit. Look at all the workouts with the horses.

Grey now gone and I am brown blonde and red. Really funky. This old gran has life in her yet

Go granny go

I am fat. 'Time of life' is not agreeing with me either.

I appear to have spent today rotting and haven't achieved one single thing. Apart from hanging the washing out.

Had a really nice plod with RE this morning 17 miles in total.

One mega blister as a reward

Well done Tippy and Eagle. You boys are really cramming in the miles. Do you run non-stop or do you have walk breaks?
I am getting worserer at wanting walk breaks as a result of running with Dawg and having to stop for her so often! When I'm on my own I've started expecting to stand still and gaze around me for a minute while I wait for no-one to catch up!

I did 4 miles BTW. 3 miles XC and 1 mile beach. Half a mile of that was through the surf as the tide wasn't low enough!!

Glorious sunset over Pompey this evening.

We do have breaks, mainly as I have to stop & mop and take on fluids.  As the temperature comes down hopefully the frequency of stops will too.  Managed 7 miles this morning on my way to the gym for body pump then Stretch & tone.  Only one stop - when SOMEONE was hosing down his car and threatened to turn it on me as I was going past.  He is one naughty boy.

What a naughty hose-person that was Eagle.

Wow well done boys. That is seriously good mileage. Well done to you too Limper. 4 miles on multi terrain is good. Did you run barefoot through the surf like un chariots of fire .

Usual Sunday walking up and down a field but today found absolutely nothing. A lot of folks didn't and we all kept checking our detectors were working as there were so few beeps.

I had a mad thought about possibly entering the Minstead Stinger.  Have you done that one Limper?

If I go quiet on here over the next few days it is because my pc is flakey (a bit like me really).

I'm looking forward to chasing Sweden's finest next Saturday .

Not heard of Minstead Stinger Eagle.
Is it a half or a full next weekend?

Shame you haven't struck gold yet Speedy. Keep on trying!

09/09/2012 at 21:09
Evening all. Keep at it Speedy nothing is impossible.
10/09/2012 at 06:41

Au contraire Tipster. Some things are definitely impossible. Hopefully Speedy becoming a millionaire is not one of them though!

It's rather gloomy here this morning. And chilly. Brrrrr.

Big Hug to keep Limper warm.

We could have a big party if I struck gold couldn't we? That would be good.

Bit cold and dreary here too.

Minstead Stinger is not far from Lyndhurst Limper - near that end of the M27, Cadnam going into the Forest. Our foreign plod is a half mara.

Just got rained on when out at lunchtime, and my bank balance just took a battering - laptop purchase.
