Enjoy your time away Tiptoes. When are you back?

Had a manic weekend. Stress, stress and more stress. Knees really aching. Been to doctor about bad pain in thumb joint to be told same problem as knees. Unfortunately I need my thumb to hold things, open jars etc and to change gear in car - all of which is painful.

I have decided old age is no fun

Have been really bad over last week. From being so pleased to have lost a few more pounds I have gained them back. I sharp kick up the rear is needed I fear. I just have had no me time

Ok enough of my moans. How are you all? What have you been up to?

Picking mud out of every orifice.....I love the Sodbury Slog! My first time at this one & really enjoyed it. Superb organisation, great folk & cameraderie, no pressure, no clock watching. So much water & mud & cow poo, loved the 'sheep dip' and pig trough features. Some hills thrown in for good measure too.

Met up with some forumites for a pizza afterwards. What more could I ask? (except that I wish that you were all there with me).

Limper we arrived in a flurry as delayed flight, and cold weather which is very unusual for Palm Springs.
Past 2 days have been back to normal though.
So laying by pool and visiting friends

I have been bad - no plodding or exercise lately. Too much food and wine too.

Ok I need to give myself a really big jolt and get out there and stop eating crap.

Kicks Speedy's butt out of the door.... but only in a friendly way

I'm trying to rectify a decorating incident today.
Maybe a long run today or tomorrow - depending on the decorating!
There's always the hoss chores to be done (2 hours done this morning).
And I might write a Christmas shopping list!!!

14 mile lone run done this morning (no stops) at 10 minute mile pace. Pleased with that!

Well done Eagle. That is brilliant running.

I turned the radio on yesterday and the DJ announced that from then on they would be playing all the Christmas favourites every morning. From 17th Nov??? I promptly re-tuned to a different station! We don't do Christmas songs until 1st Dec at the lily-pad.
