To my lovely friends on here I want to thank you for all your support throughout this year in my weight loss journey and my running journey. Without you all I may have faltered but it was through you all I kept going. Sadly I didn't hit my goal but I wasn't far off it.

I would like to wish you all a very very happy New Year and a good a prosperous 2013 in everything you do. I am sending hugs and kisses across the net to you all.

I am off out with my two daughters and their families to a Hogmannay dinner dance.

Tomorrow is the start of another year and I will be on here to post 2013 goals.

Have fun tonight folks.

Happy New year one and all.
Just back from London, now off to bed

First runette of the year done with Limpette and Dawg.It was only a shortie but it was well puddly. I disappeared up to my knees at one point (Vicar of Dibley style just for Tippy!) and I got a smashing gash across my knee from a whippy bramble branch (I was in shorts!).

And in other news... I've started the year a good (or bad) half stone at least over my acceptable weight. It's hard to be accurate as the scales are suffering with dementia but my clothes are also telling me that I've had a pie or two too many

Wishing you all the best for 2013.

We saw the New Year in at home with elder eaglet and his partner, younger eaglet was partying in town with friends.  They stayed the night as eaglet was catching the train to London to run the New Years Day Serpentine 10k, which he does most years.  He came 7th (6th last year), but got a PB........33.49!  That's my boy!

I went out and did a lone hard 6 mile on road hill session, lots of relatively short, sharp ones with little or no flat respite in between.  Worked hard, pleased with no stops and average pace.

As RE says wishing you all the best for 2013.

Had a good night out with my two daughters and their families last night haf lovely sparkly high heels in - so unusual for speedy - hubby was working Haven't had a good day as him and I haven't spoken all day. All to do with son in law. Long story. My New Years dinner consisted of 2 slice of toast and a bottle of wine. Well I wasn't going to cook for him. Stuff that.

Ok let's move on.

My goals for this year are as follows:-

Lose the 5 lbs that I still needed to get to last years goal - I gained a few pounds at Xmas
Lose another 3stone
Complete a half and full marathon

Meet up with you all.

You don't know what you're letting yourself in for with that wish-list Speedy!
The weight loss will be the easy bit. Meeting up with the southerners will be the scary bit!

Lol Limper.

Are you all back at work today? I took leave so as I don't work Thursday it's Friday till I go back and that depends on my stupid car.

I've got annual leave today. Back to the grindstone tomorrow.

Took Dawg for a beach runette this morning. It's really hard work running on sand!
Presumably I'm now allowed to slob all afternoon with the remnants of the choccies and posh biscuits, yes?

Hello Tipster darling.

Oh yes you are Limper. Enjoy.

Now folks I know I am still well overweight but remembering I have lost just short of 3st can someone tell me why my pine bed frame broke last night
The bed is about 14 years old. I have had a couple of new mattresses in that time but to break the frame!!! And before your minds work overtime we were both sound asleep when it broke.

Been out and priced new frames today but hubby going to try fix it first.

I did manage to buy lots of baby clothes in the sales for Keelen. He is growing fast and is now 8 weeks old.

People like us have to go to w*rk occasionally Tippy because we are the important and vital members of our teams and things would fall apart without us. Also it gives some structure to our day.
Although TBH I'd be just as happy to stay at home!

Hope you slept well last night Speedy?!

I did thank you Limper.

I would like to retire. Unfortunately 6 more years before I can do that.

I'm the shy and retiring type. Call me wallflower.
