I remember Sparky and his

magic piano.

Didn't he dream he could suddenly play 'Flight of the Bumblebee'? I wonder what drugs he was doing.

Evening. How are you all? What runs being done this weekend?

First dig of the year for me tomorrow. Hopefully a plod on Monday after hospital visit with daughter. Things still not right after her miscarriage and they are sending her in for an emergency appointment and she has asked me to go with her.

Weight gain over festive period was - whisper it - 5lbs. I honestly didn't think I had put on as much as that. Never mind it will be heading downwards again from now.

Evening Speedy.
I expect you're wishing you had got a nice new metal detector now that you've got a dig coming up?!
Hope the hospital visit goes ok.

I did a little runette today with limpette and Dawg. We didn't go far but we found plenty of mud and finished with a paddle in the sea to get our shoes clean!

Tomorrow is the uni-run. All 250 miles each way of it.I am going to stay overnight though - my concentration wouldn't allow me to do the return journey in one day!

So I will be away from the thread for a couple of days - and when I come back Speedy will have struck gold and Eagle will be a young man again and Tippy's baubles will be back where they belong.

Your run and paddle sounds good Limper.

Using one of hubby's detectors which is a bit complicated for me but you never know I may strike gold ....

Drive carefully Limper and we will see you on your return.

Boys have you run this weekend?

And we're off....

Hope your uni-run went smoothly Eagle.

See you in a couple of days my lovelies.

Hill session done with TT.

Showered, fed ready for a Caribbean evening.  Death in Paradise is back for a second series, the story lines leave something to be desired but the settings take us straight back to our holidays out on those lovely islands.  So, I've told Mrs E its swim cossies on, sun glasses out, I'm going to have a couple of my home spiced rums and she will be opening the coconut rum brought back from Antigua.

Evening 'RE . Sounds like a fab evening planned . what more can you ask for after a run with TT

I have decided to be sensible this year . I have dropped the idea of running Brighton or Manchester marathon in April even though Brighton has been entered . instead I have entered the Balmoral 10k on 27th April . I have run this in the past so I know the route . There is a notorious hill in it at 3 miles which goes on for more than 1/2 mile which all but the best runners walk it being up through the forest .

Do you think I have done the sensible thing?  My plan is to then get to half marathon in summer and try join you all at a marathon in the late autumn or winter . I really must meet you boys for my cuddles

Limped have you returned safely?

Sounds like an achieveable goal Speedy.

Hello Limper. You arrived back ok then? Hope you are not too tired after your drive.

I can still see windscreen wipers in front of my eyes but other than that I'm ok thanks Speedy.

09/01/2013 at 09:08

Speedy sounds a very sensible goal.
