Limper the shed is the ark.
I'll bring the soup and we can watch the rugby together.
Keep warm poppet

Awh Limper if I was closer I would come and visit you and bring you some homemade soup. You keep snuggled on the sofa. Get better soon. ((((hugs)))) for you.

Also thank you for your words of wisdom re plodding and weight. Still very down but more positive today. Lots of reasons for being so low but won't go into that.

Went to gym today. 3 miles on treadmill but it was the worst 3 miles I think I have ever done. Took me forever to do it. Then went for a swim. Honestly it was like having a private gym and pool. Had it all to myself. Tried the sauna but didn't like it. Then tried the spa - big mistake. Couldn't get knee to bend enough to get into it and slipped. Oh boy did the knee hurt .

Can I now be lazy for the rest of today? Hubby at work so have the house to myself.

Sorry you are still feeling low Speedy, but you should be very pleased with your effort at the gym. 3  miles is better than no miles (looks sheepish and guilty).

I am just back from my second drenching of the day. The first one was when I put the horses out. This one was as I got them back in. Later I will have a third one when I go and tuck them up for bed.
It's difficult to stay warm and look after myself when I have neddies that need me.

Tippy - can we watch Sound of Music rather than rugby?

How many horses do you have Limper? I think it's bad enough having to take doggies out for a walk in the rain far less see to horses. Once you have them to bed snuggle up and get warm.

I spend approx 2-3 hours a day looking after the horses Speedy. All weathers. No lie-in. No days off. No sick days! I have to see to them morning and evening. They are very precious to me though.
Oh, and I work full-time as well.

Elder (running) Eaglet smashed his half marathon PB at Wokingham this morning in the cold & rain.  73 min 40seconds!    That's My Boy!

Limper - wash your mouth out you norty froggie.

10/02/2013 at 19:41
Well done to Elder Eaglet. That's a fab time.

Not nearly as hard work as your horses Limper but as you say no holidays when you have animals depending on you. I can do as long or as short walks as I want really. My dogs are small so don't need as much walking as say a lab or a German Shepherd.

Speedy - I have double dawgs. The puppy weighs 2st 7lbs. Yes, the puppy weighs that much!  I suspect all your dogs put together wouldn't weigh that!!

Well done Eagle's boy. That is amazing.

Evening

Big hugs Limper, feel better soon xx. Well done on your run speedy . And congrats to speedy elder eaglet - impressive!

5k park run for me on Saturday. I got 36:45 but I started last of 327 people so didn't cross start line immediately. thankfully I didn't finish last. Next Saturday I shall return to report a new 5k PB lol.

Wow Ally, that is brilliant!

10/02/2013 at 22:57
Well done Ally. You are doing well. Would leave me standing now.

My smallest dog is 3.5kg, the next one weighs 7kgs and the biggest is 8kgs so that makes 18.5kgs all together which is about 2st 12lbs I think so yes your puppy is about the same weight as all three of mine and they ain't puppies.....lol

Pup likes to lay across my face in the middle of the night Speedy. No wonder I've got a headache lately!
My adult Dawg is around 5st.

I'm still right grotty this morning. Bleaurgh.

11/02/2013 at 10:29
Oh not good. Mine sleep in sitting room except when in caravan then they sleep with us. The little one sleeps under the quilt with us.

Hope the headache goes soon. Are you at work today?

Not a happy Speedy. Only lost half a pound this week. Thought I had done well but obviously not well enough

Limoer saw it thought of you,

11/02/2013 at 18:20

I value your opinion if not your actual approval Tippy

Well done Speedy. That is a brilliant achievement.

I've been out to do my horses. Snot funny when you're ill. I had to sit down several times (including at the side of a muddy track) as I keep nearly passing out.
I suspect I won't be running anywhere for a while
