Ally - the Portsmouth Half is a different event and is usually around mid February. There are a couple of 10k's there in October and December.
You sound like me with your injuries!

Well done for your long walk Speedy.

Are things getting any better Tippy?

Limper, not sure, last 8 tablets have now gone down south, so time will tell.

RE will no doubt be laying by the pool, fluffing his feathers and taking in the sun.

I'm down in October for the Great South Run Limper - maybe we can find time for coffee then?

Sounds good Ally. Are you just down for the day for the GSR or are you staying locally?

I'm worried bout you Tippy. Shouldn't you have noticed an improvement by now? Do you need to go back to your doc?

I'm sitting here trying to convince myself that my new running shoes (same ones as usual, just the latest model) are not as impossibly uncomfortable as I fear they are. Why would the manufacturer change something so radically that they are completely wrong on someone who has worn them for ten years?

13/05/2013 at 18:59

limper, im ok honest, would tell you if not.

me thinks the proof be in the plodding Limper

13/05/2013 at 19:43

I'll be down for a few days, staying in Gosport

13/05/2013 at 21:28

Then hopefully I'll be able to meet up with you at some point Ally

Tippy, you be a good boy and get back to the doc if your symptoms don't resolve (stern motherly stare)

I'm dubious about road testing the new shoes in case I still don't like them. They are rather expensive to make a mistake on! They are the same shoe that I always wear, just the latest model, but they have really changed. They are narrower and there is stitching across the toe box. The lace loops are in a different aspect to normal which puts pressure in an unusual area. But I don't have any other option as the old model is not available. Hmmmm

Hope your week has started better Speedy.

Limper have you tried ebay for the old model or sports direct

14/05/2013 at 17:45

Tried everywhere Tippy. I'll just get used to the new model.

How are you today sweetie?

14/05/2013 at 18:51

still tight chest, will see in morning and decide if it is worth popping bavk and getting second opinion

You must be exhausted. Poor Tips.
Back to the doc with you, young man. Yes. MummyLimper says so.

Try to relax in front of the TV and watch Eurovision.

Ireland's drummers

Tippy listen to Limper and get back to doctor.  Hope it clears up soon.

Work was horrible today

Limper I am the same shoe wise.  I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for years but the most recent ones seem to have changed and not quite so comfortable.  Like you I cant afford to make a mistake.  Hope you find your new ones ok though.

Ally you have been unlucky lately.  Hope the spell of acidents are over.

Where is spring/summer?????? Did I miss it?

15/05/2013 at 06:39

I think summer was last Saturday afternoon. Around 4pm. Don't be greedy!
It's clearly some strange mix of winter and autumn again here at the lily-pad. We had a dreadful storm last night. Bits of the house are in the garden now.

I hope work settles down for you once this period of change is over Speedy. It's rotten when work is so dismal. You've said a few times that you're having a low in general. Do you need to pop along to the docs as well?

Right. I'd better go and see if my horses blew away in the night

15/05/2013 at 13:07

Creeps in: Breathing better, think Limper & Speedy scared me. Creeps out

15/05/2013 at 22:35

Oh hooray Tippy
Now I can give you a big hug and squeeze all the breath out of you!!
Is it truly better?

16/05/2013 at 08:05

Limper yes getting back to normal (well as normal as i can be )

16/05/2013 at 17:57

Please don't be too normal Tippy!

Do you reckon Eagle is thinking about us and pining away while he's on holiday?!
