Wholemeal Bread vs. Bagels

Can anyone solve a debate for me? Which of the above is 'better' for you? Both from a training perspective (I'm guessing bagels) and also just for non-runners who wish to follow a healthy diet?

Wholemeal bread per serving (100g)
2.5g fat (.5g sat)
9.2g pro
42g carb (1.8g sug)
5.8g Fibre

Begal per srving (100g)
1.7g fat (.7g sat)
11.2g pro
57g carb (1g sug)
2.5g Fibre

Id say they are both good choices to compliment an athletes breakfast providing similar nutritional values.

BUT i would gave the edge to the wholemeal bread as it is WHOLEMEAL and slightly less callories (alowing for a biger better breakfast) less of its fat is saturateed and it provide more dietry fibre (which a lot of people miss out on)

i believe wholemeal bread has a lower GI index and will therefore make you feel fuller for longer

also forgot to say that where you only get 1 medium bagel for 100g you will get 3 or 4 slices of wholemeal bread
