Just wondering, do you think that runners:

1) pick up more injuries than other sports, maybe due to the repetitive nature of the sport, unlike activities with more variety in movement?

2) Has the number and type of injuries changed ovber time? Maybe running surfaces have changed?

Of the non contact ports I would say yes. Particularly as a high proporton of the participants are vets.

The type of inuries has probably changed ove time as younger sportsmen are now playing football year round and more vets are turning to running bringing with them more injuries.
