How cold was that! I went out for a run last night after I'd put my daughter to bed. I managed 15 km, but the pace was very easy, about MP +60.
The streets were just icing up really nicely, so I was skittering around the streets of Bury like a six foot Bambi on ice!
At least the VLM won't be colder than that in April and it was valuable time on my feet. Once I got going it wasn't so bad temperature-wise and the streets were pretty quiet! The route I ran on is tough as far as times go, as the climbs are long and the descents are short and steep. There is absolutely no payback for all the work getting to the top.
