I've kept a marathon diary for the past 2 years (a word doc) and blogging seems a good idea. Is there a beginners guide to blogging anyone can recommend? I have a feeling that NTL won't be a convenient host for a blog if it's done how I think it's done - they won't host cgi's or anything like that. Mind you, I'm the webmaster of my club on a provider that will host cgi's so I could sneak a blog under their radar.

To any forumites who aren't techie - sorry!

Evil Pixie, you are on there as well.

I actually find that having a blog keeps me going. I know that my friends and family keep track of my progress and that stimulates me.

I'd assume everyone that puts their blog on here has no objection to being linked to, I know I haven't. After seeing LauraS's blog I'll have to start tarting up mine up :-)

Oops I seem to have dropped into stating the blinking obvious mode again :-) Where's the reset button?

Thanks for the links anyone/everyone, once again my site is here http://marathondan.blogspot.com.

Please come over and click my ads! At current rates they are raising about 10p per click. I recommend everyone gets these adverts, just go to https://www.google.com/adsense and apply.

It takes about a day and then they give you code to put into your pages, which generates ads based on the page content. The revenue goes into an account which they pay out monthly and you can then give it to your charity. I'm not sure about the morality of just encouraging people to click loads of adverts just to get the revenue - but it's for charity, right?!
